Lear (Suining) Automotive Electric Co., Ltd.

李尔(遂宁)汽车电器有限公司
USCC 91510900MACGX0PY0G  ·  Suining, Sichuan  ·  profile compiled 2026-11-01
Fortune 500 parent · NYSE: LEA
Automotive harness · high-voltage harness capability
¥5M registered · ¥1.6M paid in (32%)
Three Lear registrations · one address
No Lear-owned page describes this plant

What this is. The largest harness employer in Suining, and the hardest one to describe as a single company. Three separate Lear registrations serve one industrial-park address: a 2018 branch of Wuhan Lear-DFM (15,000 m²), a 2020 branch of Lear Automotive Systems (Chongqing) in a 30,000 m² purpose-built plant, and — since 2023-04-24 — a wholly foreign-owned company, Lear (Suining) Automotive Electric, at No. 969 Yinhe South Road. Together they run roughly 1,800 to 2,700 people depending on which filing you read, on Ford, Geely, Great Wall and Volvo programmes.

Why a buyer cares. Lear is a tier-one. If you are sourcing automotive harness in southwest China, the question is not whether this plant can build — it is which legal person quotes you, invoices you, and carries the warranty. The WFOE holds ¥5M of registered capital with ¥1.6M paid in. The capacity sits in a branch of a Chongqing company. The building belongs to the park. Those are three different counterparties.

The visibility finding. A 700-person tier-one harness plant in a Chinese industrial park has no Lear-owned page describing it — in English or Chinese. The only English-language description of the Suining operation anywhere we could find is on its landlord's website, on a page whose title tag reads “Lear Corporation”.

A · Entity identity — one address, three registrations

2 · CapitalRegistered ¥5M · paid in ¥1.6M (32%) thin for a plant of this headcount — normal for a Chinese WFOE whose obligations are backed by a listed parent, but it is the number on the contract, so it is the number to knowregistry; 2025 filing
3 · Headcount — four sources, four answers683 insured (2025 filing, one database) · 709 insured (another database) · “nearly 1,200” (the company's own recruitment notice) · “nearly 2,000” (the development-zone government's commissioning report for the Chongqing branch)
these are probably all true of different legal entities on the same site; none of them is the number a buyer needs

B · Capability

8 · Planned investmentIntelligent high-bay warehouse, smart logistics, Industry 4.0 lines, and high-voltage harness capacity for new-energy vehicles — with the stated goal of becoming Lear's benchmark plant for Asia-Pacific announced at commissioning in 2021; no public progress report sincegovernment, 2021-12-28
9 · Connector platforms · wire range · pull-force · IPC/WHMA-A-620 class · MOQ · lead timeNot published — all six. For a tier-one this is normally disclosed through the OEM programme rather than a website, so the blank here means “ask Lear”, not “cannot do it”.—

C · Trust anchors

10 · ParentLear Corporation, Southfield, Michigan, NYSE: LEA · Fortune 500 (ranked 179 in 2021, on US$19.3bn sales) · 38 countries · in China since 1996, with 58 manufacturing sites and 22,000 employees at the time of the company's own 2023 description, and 77 sites / 31,000 staff across Asia-Pacificcompany recruitment material; lear.com
11 · Local certificationsQuality management system · environmental management system · occupational health and safety management system — three system certificates on file
No certificate number, no certification body and no IATF 16949 record is published for this entity. For an automotive tier-one that is the one certificate a buyer must see, and the local entity publishes none.

D · The digital footprint — a plant that exists only in its landlord's website

FieldValueSource
14 · No Lear-owned pageWe could not locate any page on a Lear-controlled domain that describes the Suining plant — in English or Chinese. The corporate homepage carries no mention of Suining at all. Lear's China presence is described in aggregate (“58 manufacturing sites”), never plant by plant.direct checks 2026-11-01
15 · The only English description belongs to the landlordThe park's own bilingual site carries a tenant page with eleven mentions of Suining, the two factory areas, the customer list and the combined headcount. Its <title> is simply “Lear Corporation” — the page ranks for Lear's name while being owned by a Chinese industrial park.
no hreflang, so the Chinese and English versions are not linked as translations of each other
en.eaip-sn.com, checked 2026-11-01
16 · What the company itself publishesRecruitment notices only — and those are hosted on a university careers portal and on the development zone's website, not on any Lear property. The company's registered contact address is a corporate mailbox on the global lear.com domain. There is no local site, no local domain, and no local page to correct.direct checks 2026-11-01
17 · The date that does not agreeEvery piece of company and government copy says the Suining operation “was established in December 2020”. The entity in this profile was incorporated on 2023-04-24. Both are correct: the 2020 date belongs to the Chongqing branch, the 2023 date to the WFOE. a buyer reading “established 2020” and checking the entity they were given will find a three-year-old company with ¥1.6M paid inregistry; company and government copy

What this profile shows about visibility

Absence here is not the same failure as absence elsewhere in this directory. Ruithai has no website because nobody built one and the domain now half-works. Lear Suining has no website because a tier-one sells through programme awards, not through search — and for that business model the omission costs nothing. A buyer will not find this plant on Google and does not need to.

What it does cost is legibility. Three registrations, one address, headcounts of 683 / 709 / 1,200 / 2,000, a founding date that is either 2020 or 2023, and a WFOE with ¥5M registered and ¥1.6M paid in sitting on top of capacity that belongs to a branch of a Chongqing company in a building owned by the park. None of that is irregular. All of it has to be resolved before a purchase order, and none of it can be resolved from anything Lear publishes.

And the small irony worth noting. The single best English description of a Fortune 500 plant in Suining was written by its landlord — a page titled “Lear Corporation” that Lear did not make, does not control, and cannot correct.

What a buyer should verify directly

Open fields, not a rating. (1) Which legal person signs. Ask for the contracting entity's USCC and match it against 91510900MACGX0PY0G — a branch of the Chongqing company, a branch of Wuhan Lear-DFM and the WFOE are three different counterparties with different capital, different liability and different tax treatment. (2) IATF 16949 certificate number for the specific site, and whether the certificate covers the Suining address rather than the Chongqing or Wuhan parent. (3) High-voltage harness: is HV capability actually installed, or still the 2021 plan? Ask for a PPAP or a programme reference on an EV platform. (4) Connector platforms and applicators held on site. (5) Whether the plant is tooled for a given OEM's terminal system or buys terminated leads. (6) Commercial terms — MOQ, lead time, and whether engineering changes are handled locally or routed to Shanghai. (7) Parent guarantee or comfort letter, given the paid-in capital.
